As a Network Physician, you evaluate patients and perform the procedure. VDN builds and manages the authorization pathway, the administrative operation, and the support system around every case — so the veterans already in your practice can finally receive this treatment.

This is a network affiliation, not an employment relationship. You keep your clinical practice, your patients, and your autonomy — the network attaches an authorization pathway and a back office to it. VDN does not route patients to you; it opens a service line to the veterans already in your census.

Who performs the procedure?
You do. As a Network Physician, you are the treating physician — trained in the Discseel® procedure and credentialed to VDN protocol. The clinical work stays entirely yours.
Where do the patients come from?
Patients are routed and authorized through the VDN pathway. VDN holds the payer relationship and operates centralized intake, records collection, authorization tracking, scheduling support, billing, and long-term follow-up — so the referrals that reach the network actually convert into treated cases.
Do I keep clinical autonomy?
Yes. Candidacy is determined by you at evaluation, from the diagnostic findings. VDN sets the candidacy criteria, clinical protocol, kit specification, documentation standard, and follow-up intervals as conditions of participation — but the network does not override clinical judgment and does not make the determination for you.
Who sets the facility standard where I practice?
Your state does. The applicable standard is the one set by the state in which the procedure is performed, for that setting. VDN does not set facility standards and does not substitute its judgment for state requirements.
What does VDN actually solve?
Conversion. Veterans are referred to trained physicians every day and never reach a procedure day, because the referral arrives without an authorization pathway behind it. VDN holds the payer relationship and operates that pathway, along with the administration around the case.
